Installing a Printer:
- Take the printer out of the box with the power cable (and ethernet cord) and connect them as shown below:
- Ensure that a paper roll is inserted for the printer to work
- Power the printer on by pressing the power button on the front of the printer. Depending on how the campus network is set up, the printer may work out of the box without any additional setup other than plugging in all cables.
- Once the printer is connected, try sending a test print from your dashboard. To do this:
- Log onto your dashboard profile at https://oneview.tapingo.com/.
- Select the "Hardware" tab on the left of the screen.
- Find the correct printer and press the blue printer icon on the far right of the row for the printer.
- If a solid green light doesn't show or tests fail, then the printer may not be able to communicate to us outbound. In these cases, IT will need to be involved to ensure that it can. This may include white listing the printer's MAC address or updating the DNS settings.
- If a static IP needs to be set, please print a network configuration slip and set a static IP.
- If you're unable to use a physical ethernet connection and have to use Wi-Fi, please note you will have to put the printer on a DHCP network, and then you can configure WiFi for the printer.
Installing an Active Cashier:
- Take the iPad, connect the charging cord to the iPad, plug it in with the cord/power brick that it came with to a power outlet.
- Turn the device on with the button on the upper left corner of the iPad and you should see an Apple Logo.
- There will be an app called "Active Cashier." If it does not automatically open, please open it.
- Login with the credentials provided on the back of the iPad.
If you are experiencing any difficulties, please utilize this guide for further assistance in troubleshooting your active cashier.
Note: The devices come with cellular data enabled, so as long as the cellular signal is good then we won't need to connect the device to Wi-Fi.
