This guide will walk you through the steps need to convert the printer from a dynamic to a static IP.
How to Set a Static IP:
To do this, it must be done from a laptop that is connected to the same network as the printer. By default, your printer will be set up DHCP which is sometimes okay for that network, but if a specific IP is needed then it can be changed to static with the Star Utility Web Browser Tool.
- Use the IP address from the bottom of the last page that prints when printing a configuration page and type it into a browser. This will take you to the Star Utility Web Browser Tool.
- Contact Support at (888)827-5055 or onsitesupport@grubhub.com for log in information.
- Once logged in, click on IP Parameters under the left column titled "Configuration". Configure it to the parameters that will work on the network and submit.
- Save the settings of the new configuration.
- Print out a new configuration page and check that it is now set as static by checking the IP address is now set to "Static".
