How to Hard Restart the Active Cashier:
9 out of 10 times, hard restarting the iPad will resolve any issue you may be experiencing. It’s different than a regular restart because it force closes all the open apps and basically resets everything back to the beginning without actually resetting the iPad to factory settings. To do this:
- Press both the Home and the Power buttons on the iPad at the same time.
- Hold them both down until the iPad screen turns black (this could take up to 7 seconds), then release both buttons.
- The white Apple logo will appear on its own as the iPad restarts.
- Launch the Active Cashier app, if it doesn’t launch automatically.
Network Disconnected:
The next steps to reconnect the network will depend on whether your AC is on AC+ or not. Below are the steps for AC+:

- In the Active Cashier app, press the clock icon in the upper right corner 10x
- A pop-up message will appear prompting you to input a password: 5585
- Press the home button to leave the AC app
- Now that you have exited the app, select the settings icon
- Use this tab to select a Wi-Fi network.
- Now that you have reconnected the iPad to a network press the home button to return to the home screen.
