In the nodes panel (pink), there are two ways you can filter through the nodes, Sort By and Filter By actions. This allows you to filter all nodes by name, setting, status, or node type, and more. This allows you to narrow down your search when looking for a specific node.
Filtering Nodes:
1. Sort By (Down Arrow Icon):
There are five ways to sort nodes via "Sort By" action. You can toggle arranging the nodes in an ascending or descending manner by clicking on "Sort".
- Sort by ID: Arranges the nodes based on the node's ID number.
- Sort by Name: Arranges the nodes based on how many of each node have that name in the structure.
- Sort by Occurrence: Arranges the nodes based on how many times each node appears in the structure.
- Sort by Type: Arranges the nodes according to their type: Category, Item, Group, and Modifier.
- Sort by Status: Arranges the nodes based on status: Active, Inactive, or Out of Stock.
Note: By default, nodes are sorted in ascending order based on ID.
2. Filter Node:
There are nine ways to filter the nodes through the "Filter By" tool.
- Has Image: Filters any nodes with an image or without an image.
- Is Active: Filters active nodes whether they are on the structure or not.
- Node Type: Filters to view only one specific node type at a time i.e. Category, Item, Modifier, etc.
- Status: Arrange to show all of the nodes in either the Active, Inactive or Out of Stock state.
- Tax Structure: Filters to look at all nodes with a specific tax setting.
- Active in Structure: Shows all of the nodes currently active in the structure panel, which means they are active on the customer-facing menu.
- Is Scheduled: Filters all nodes that are set on a schedule.
- Service Type: Filters to see items on a specific service type.
- Routing Label: Filters all of the items with routing labels or can filter all items on one specific routing label.
Searching for Nodes in the Structure:
The search bar at the top of the Structure Panel allows you to locate edges with characters typed in this box. It highlights all edges containing the series of characters typed in it. You can choose to unselect all highlighted edges by clicking any edge on the Panel. Deselect certain edges using SHIFT- click, CTRL-click, or CMND- click. If you right-click on the highlighted nodes, you can change their status from there.
