Item routing is the ability to have more control over your order flow and printing stations. This allows you to label specific items in the catalog so that we can designate those items to print to specific recipients in the POS.
Setup:
First, decide on the labels of each printer, only one name per printer is needed. However, you can assign as many labels to each printer as needed. As long as the printer has those created labels assigned to it, it will only go to that designated printer.
Go through each menu item and assign it to its designated printer name, as shown above. This should be done on the Item Node (green) or Modifier Node (yellow).
For example: If you are splitting it between hot and cold foods
-
Printer 1 will be labeled: Hot Foods
- Printer 2 will be labeled: Cold Foods
Go through the menu items and assign the labels hot foods or cold foods in the “Edit Node Details” of the catalog. To access "Edit Node Details" double-click on the node in either the Node's Panel or Edges Editor.
