The Grubhub for OneView Dashboard offers access to changing your store's operational hours, special operational hours and editing specific menu hours. This is a feature that must be requested through your Super-Admin. It is important that you reach out to the Super Admin for your campus and not reach out to GrubHub Support for access as that is not something GH Support can do. If you do not know who your Super Admin is for your campus you can reach out to GH Support for that information.
Once you have the hours access on your profile, you will have the ability to change any of the hours for shops you currently have access to on your OneView Dashboard. Below you will find various example videos to setting hours for multiple different situations.
*We suggest making sure your whole team is aware of who has this access so there isn't overlap in who can change the store hours.
Setting Hours:
1. Navigate and select 'Hours' on the left panel in OneView:
2. Setting Hours:
Example: Your shop wants to operate on the Grubhub app from 9:00am - 6:59 pm Monday - Thursday and 9:00am - 2:59pm on Friday.
Splitting Hours:
You can also set hours that are spilt during a certain day. You will select the '+ Spilt' button next to days you would like to set this schedule up.
ex: Your shop wants to operate on the GrubHub app from 9am - 12pm and 3pm-7pm only on Monday.
Closing the Shop:
To completely close your shop for an upcoming holiday, summer break or a single day, go to the Special Operational Hours section.
- If you want to close the shop completely, just choose the dates the shop needs to be closed and save. Make sure to be inclusive of the end date or last day the hours will differ.
- If you want to close the shop and include modified hours, choose the dates and the specific days you'd like to close and/or operate on the modified hours.
The rule for setting a closure/modified hours for one day is to only select the day the new hours will apply to.
Example: You know your shop will be closed for Summer Break May 13th - August 20th. You can set this schedule at any time.
Menu Hours for Specific Items:
Menu hours can be set for certain menu items. These should always be titled by their type of hours relating to the menu items because they are going to be used only for the assigned items. These hours cannot be created new from the Dashboard but can be managed and updated from there. ex: Daily Breakfast Hours. Please send an email to onsitesupport@grubhub.com to add a brand new set of special hours to your shop and you will be able to manage them from there.
How do I know what my operational hours are vs. what are the special hours just for the menu items?
Great question! If you can see the dark checkmark by the hours set, you can hover over that with your mouse and it will say "currently used". That means those are the hours your shop is operationally seton (when ordering is available or not on the app). Another indicator that must be used is that the operational hours set should not be named at all. The special hours are named so that when you are setting them in the menu you know exactly which hours set you are using.
i.e. Monday-Friday Breakfast Hours
1. select '+ Add menu hours'
2. Add a Label of what Menu label you would like to use. Then you will add the times you would like for those menu items to show in the GrubHub app. To save these changes you will hit 'Confirm'.
In the Menu Hour pane you will now see a 'Breakfast' menu hour set.
Navigate to the 'Hours' tab on your Dashboard profile. There will be three types of hours available.
Regular Operational Hours - These are the operational hours that will control when the shop is available for ordering on the app.
Special Operational Hours - These hours are for setting when your shop needs to be available on modified hours set that differs from the operational hours. These will not remove your regular hours but just temporarily replace for the time & date selected.
Menu Hours - These hours can be assigned to specific menu items to limit the hours they are available, such as breakfast menu items or weekly special items.
Example: The Classic Diner needs to be available to order on the app from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm every Monday - Wednesday.
Hours can be set for individual days of the week, and 'splits' can be added to each day in case there are multiple opening and closing times during a single day.
Once the days and hours look correct for each day, press Save and you will see your hours set to update on the shop in real-time.
To set Special Operational Hours, first click "Add customized dates" in the upper right hand corner of the Special Operational Hours Section.
Select a date range for the special hours to override Regular Operational hours, and then select the desired hours for each day in the range.
In the below example, The Classic Diner is set to be open 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM on Christmas Eve, and closed on Christmas Day.
